standard snap hook for the harness. The tie off hooks feature a 3600 pound rated gate which allows the wearer to tie back into the floating D rings on the lanyard. The floating D-ring provides an adjustable tie-back point so the lanyard can be used around various structures at a job site. Another positive point is that using the tie back feature reduces the distance of the fall. The lanyard utilizes a
controlled tearing action when subjected to fall arrest forces, limiting arresting

 | Fall Protection Lanyard provides the link from the body harness to the tie off point. This lanyard has a shock absorber included to limit the forces on the body during a fall.  | Fall Protection Safety Rope Grab. This rope grab opens to fit on a 5/8 inch nylon rope. When the lifeline rope is hung vertically this rope grab slides easily up and down the rope. The worker attaches his harness to the rope grab with a short safety lanyard. No shock absorber is needed as the rope grab will stop the fall within inches. As the worker moves up and down the rope to perform his work the rope grab slides up or down with him. Should a fall occur the rope grab tightens to the rope using the same principle as a car seat belt. The worker is stopped and can then release the rope grab once he maintains his footing.
